About the editor

Two suitcases, one filter coffee habit I never asked for

I moved to Bengaluru from Pune three years ago on the Udyan Express, mostly because a job offer said so and partly because everyone kept telling me the weather was "nice." Nobody warned me about Sarjapur Road traffic.

Maझा Bengaluru started as a note-taking habit that got out of hand — the auto driver who moonlights as a translator, the pothole that's older than my lease, the Ganpati pandal that's a tenth the size of the one back home but somehow twice as loud. Small, specific, mostly true stories about a city that isn't mine yet, written by someone who's stopped correcting people who mispronounce his name.

No fixed schedule, no fixed beat. New dispatches go up whenever there's something worth writing down. If you've got a story, a gripe, or a good filter coffee recommendation, I want to hear it.
